Lina Bulovite
Born and raised in Lithuania, began her dance journey as a member of a traditional Lithuanian folk ensemble. After moving to the United States, her first immersive dance experiences included Butoh, improvisation, and choreography through programs at the Chicago Cultural Center and the Storefront Theater.
Following the birth of her three children and the completion of her studies at the Zen Shiatsu Chicago School, she discovered a deep passion for flamenco at Studio Mangiameli. There, she studied and performed in numerous works under the direction of Chiara Mangiameli, embracing the expressive power and rhythm of flamenco.
After the studio’s closure, she experienced a long pause in her dance practice and deeply missed the sense of community flamenco had given her. Now, she is joyfully reconnecting with flamenco at Casa Triana, where she continues her journey under the guidance of the talented and passionate Claudia Pizarro. She looks forward to experiencing more of the magic, beauty, and spirit that flamenco brings to her life.
