Children & Youth Flamenco
Casa Triana’s children and youth program introduces young dancers to flamenco through movement, rhythm, music, and creative expression. Our classes provide age-appropriate training in a supportive environment where students can build confidence, discipline, musicality, and a strong foundation in flamenco.
FLAMENQUITOS
Ages 6–8
A joyful introduction to flamenco created especially for our youngest dancers. Through movement, rhythm, music, and age-appropriate exercises, students begin developing coordination, posture, basic footwork, braceo, palmas, and an understanding of flamenco compás.
Classes encourage confidence, creativity, and musical awareness while giving children a strong foundation for continued flamenco training.
No previous flamenco experience required.
JÓVENES FLAMENCOS
Ages 9–12
Designed for young dancers ready to develop their flamenco training through a more structured class environment. Students work on technique, footwork, braceo, coordination, compás, musicality, castanets, and choreography while developing greater confidence and artistic expression.
Students also learn the discipline and ensemble skills involved in preparing choreography and working together as young flamenco dancers.
Castanets are required for this class.
CAJÓN FOR KIDS
Ages 9–12
An introduction to the rhythms of flamenco through the cajón. Students learn basic playing techniques, hand placement, sound production, rhythmic patterns, listening skills, and ensemble playing while deepening their understanding of flamenco compás.
This class is a great option for young musicians and dancers who want to deepen their understanding of flamenco rhythm.
No previous percussion experience required.

Our youth program is designed to help young students grow both artistically and personally. Through flamenco, students develop:

Performance Opportunities
As students grow in their training, they may have opportunities to participate in Casa Triana student showcases, community events, and special performances throughout the year.
Performance opportunities are part of the learning experience, allowing students to build confidence, work as an ensemble, and experience the connection between flamenco training and the stage.

To support your learning outside the studio, Casa Triana Flamenco uses Telegram as our main communication platform.
Please download the Telegram app and subscribe to our channel. Through Telegram, students receive weekly class videos and study materials to support independent practice at home.
On the first day of class, you will be added to the appropriate private class group.
