Experience Requirement: Must have completed at least one year of our Flamenco I, previously called Flamenco Básico or have a minimum of two years of continuous flamenco training elsewhere.

This course is designed for students with a solid foundation in flamenco technique who are ready to take their dancing to the next level. Flamenco II challenges students with more intensive footwork, greater stamina, and increased attention to precision and rhythmic control.
The class places strong emphasis on refining footwork technique and deepening your understanding of cante (singing) and compás (rhythm), while guiding you through the structure of different flamenco palos (styles). Even if a full choreography is not completed, the goal is for students to grasp the underlying form and logic of each palo, learning how the sections fit together musically and emotionally.
This Summer 2025 session features live percussion, offering a dynamic and interactive way to develop a deeper connection with the rhythm. The presence of a live percussionist helps us feel, hear, and respond to the compás in real time, strengthening our ability to dance with accuracy and musicality.

(Summer sessions do not include full choreography)
Each week, one class session is dedicated exclusively to choreography, giving students time to internalize and embody the chosen palo independently. The goal is for each dancer to understand the overall structure of the choreography, not just the steps, but how each section functions musically and emotionally, building confidence and readiness for solo performance.
This session, we are incorporating live percussion to enhance your understanding of rhythm and musicality. The presence of a live percussionist supports your timing and interpretation, helping you feel the compás more intuitively and connect more deeply with your choreography.
